CRITICAL Manufacturing Reshapes MES/MI Landscape with cmNavigo 3.6

Porto/Portugal, SuZhou/China, Dresden/Germany, Austin/TX/USA - April 1st, 2014 CRITICAL Manufacturing announced today the release of cmNavigo 3.6, the latest version of its flexible and user-centered manufacturing execution and intelligence system (MES/MI). cmNavigo 3.6 adds new capabilities for order management, document management, and production costing, further empowering operations for high tech manufacturers. These additions add depth to customers’ ability to optimize their supply chain, deliver up-to-date best practices and operator guidance, and make decisions in production based on financial impact.

We know that manufacturers in demanding, complex environments need to be able to shift direction—with confidence—on a moment’s notice,” said Francisco Almada Lobo, CEO, CRITICAL Manufacturing. “To do that, they need reliable access to detailed and timely operational information—information on which they can make split second, game-changing decisions to stay ahead in their markets.

Recently cmNavigo was awarded the 2014 Global Price Performance Value Leadership for Semiconductor by Frost & Sullivan. According to the report: “The company’s proactive entry into the industrial mobility field through the Mobile UI module and fabLIVE in cmNavigo 3.6 indicates the vision of the enterprise to fulfill future and emerging customer requirements."

But it’s not just the analysts that have recognized CRITICAL Manufacturing’s leadership. Its customer-centric approach and adaptable software have been winning it customers in semiconductor, solar, electronics, medical devices and related industries where innovation and perfect quality are paramount. Modeling software enables users to easily design and deploy a plant layout track manufacturing material and process details to increase efficiency, utilization and hone in on potential problem areas. A full range of dashboards and reports provides end-to-end visibility for materials genealogy and traceability. Fully integrated operations management and quality modules further enhance customer control over operations and output. Data capture from multiple sources provides users advanced ability to aggregate and manipulate data, enabling better informed decision making.

In keeping with its customer-centric commitment to ease of use, cmNavigo is based on a modern Microsoft-based architecture enabling customers to deepen MES/MI capabilities and functionality on a powerful and familiar platform. The solution scales to any size to meet customers’ growth rate, and can be implemented plant wide, across a division, or globally. In addition, cmNavigo 3.6 is modular, enabling integration into an existing infrastructure or installed new, providing users with an easy-to-implement, right-sized solution to meet their need for visibility, cost reduction and control within the enterprise and across the supply chain.

cmNavigo’s breakthrough approach has also earned CRITICAL Manufacturing honors as one of the top 20 manufacturing operations management (MOM) providers worldwide, according to LNS Research. We found their platform approach to be innovative and consistent with LNS Research’s vision of a next generation, MOM integration and collaboration platform, and modular ‘apps.’” says LNS Principal Analyst Mark Davidson.

cmNavigo 3.6, with its improvements throughout and new modules, goes even beyond what LNS judged as next generation and truly reshapes what options are available for MES/MI. cmNavigo is generally available now, and more information is available here.
